Types of Articles
Original Research Articles
Original research study results with a maximum word limit of 5,000 words, excluding abstract and references (≤50), will be considered. Articles should include: abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions in chronological order. Authors should avoid data fragmentation and splitting the results of a single original study into multiple submissions.
Review Articles
A comprehensive summary of published literature about important developments in research areas/topics in line with the scope of the journal with a maximum word limit of 10,000 words and 100 references will be considered.
Case Studies
Records about real-life experiences and interventions within organizations with a limit of 1,500 words and minimal references are acceptable.
Case Reports
Case reports include the detailed description of unique and rare cases to update the research community about the potential occurrence of a phenomenon. The reports with a word limit of 1,500 and minimal references are acceptable.
Viewpoints
Viewpoints/commentary provide the author's interpretation of content related to healthcare practices, techniques, and procedures. Such writing with a word limit of 1,500, along with a summary (≤150 words), should highlight the specified content.
Letters
Letters should provide commentary and discuss articles published in the journals. The letters should be accompanied by an extract (≤150 words), a main text body with a maximum of 1,000 words, and minimal references. The review of submitted letters is at the discretion of the Editorial Office.
Editorials
Editorials cover comments or discussion about a scientific problem or theme addressed in original papers. Authors are requested to contact the Editorial Office before preparing the editorial. Editorials should be accompanied by an extract (≤150 words), a main text body (≤1,000 words), and minimal references.
Communications
Communications (≤1,500 words) are explanations about new results that do not qualify as full-length articles. These explanations extend previously published research.
How to Prepare
File Format
Only electronic files in MS Word format (Word 2007 or higher) with a specific font (Times New Roman) and size 12, with 1.5-line spacing and normal margins, are acceptable.
Manuscript Title
The title of the manuscript should be concise and clearly reflect the content of the article.
Author's Information
- Name(s) of the author(s)
- Email addresses (preferably institutional) of all authors
- Affiliation(s) including institution, city, (state), and country
- An active e-mail address of the corresponding author
- If available, the 16-digit ORCID of the corresponding author
Abstract
A structured abstract (200-300 words) is required, especially for research articles, with the following sections:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Authors are encouraged to provide a graphical abstract. This is a concise visual summary of the article’s major findings and often attracts readers more effectively.
Key Words
Mention 3-6 relevant keywords.
Level of Headings
Use no more than three levels of displayed headings, with the first level in font size 14 and bold.
Figures
Authors are requested to insert all figures in the main text body closer to their relevant potential placements. The figures with good quality must have a concise caption and labeled with regular numbers in a consecutive order (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2). Grey scale and high-resolution color figures (free of charge) are acceptable. The figures must be appropriately cited in the manuscript's main text body. Editorial office may also demand to provide the figures separately in acceptable formats (JPEG, TIFF or GIF). A maximum of 08 figures per article are permissible. In case of higher numbers, kindly club the appropriate relevant figures together and designate with sub-headings (e.g., Figure 1A, 1B etc.)
Tables
Table(s) should be numbered consecutively with regular numbers (e.g., Table 1 etc) and incorporated within main text body of the manuscript at relevant position(s). The tables should be prepared with table format rather than spread-sheets and submitted in editable format. The table number and appropriate title should be placed above the table and cited in text of the manuscript. Any additional information should be mentioned below the table, and superscripts/ asterisks should be used to link them with the relevant information provided in the table.
Units of Measurement
Authors are encouraged to follow the units of measurement by using the International System of Units (SI).
Names of Drugs
Only generic drug names should be used.
Abbreviations
Abbreviations should be introduced the first time they appear and preceded by the full terms. The use of abbreviations is discouraged, except for units of measurement.
References
Vancouver style for citing and referencing is acceptable. Authors are requested to ensure that all references cited in the main text body are included in the reference list and vice versa. Furthermore, all citations must be as per recommended style, accurate and consistent. Citations must be indicated by using the numerals in square brackets e.g., [1]", "[2, 3]", [4-7] sequentially starting from the first citation. Likewise, references should be numbered along with square brackets in the reference list in order of appearance in the text. References must be relevant and latest to support the manuscript standard. List all authors when they are six or fewer. In case of seven or more authors, list the first six followed by ‘et al’. Authors are encouraged to include DOI numbers against the references where available.

- Books: Author Name(s). Title. Edition. Place of publication: Publisher; Year.
- Chapter in Book: Author Name(s). Title of chapter. In: Editor(s), editors. Title of book. Place of publication: Publisher; Year. Page range.

Declarations
Research Funding
Authors must disclose funding sources (if any) and explain the funders' role.
Conflict of Interest
Authors need to include a statement about conflicts of interest. The statement should declare any financial or academic competing interests related to the submitted manuscript. In case of no potential conflicts of interest, following statement should be included at the end of manuscript:

Availability of Data
Authors must provide a consent at the end of manuscript regarding the availability of data with following statement:
Availability of Data: The data file(s) will be provided upon Editorial Office demand.
Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments of the persons, grants, funds, etc. should be mentioned at the end of manuscript. The names of funding organizations should be written in full.
Permissions
Statement from author(s) and publisher is required to reproduce the materials taken from other sources and must be accompanied by a written giving permission to the Journal at the time of submission.
Multiple, Redundant, and Current Publication
It is not allowed to submit manuscripts describing primarily same research to more than one journal. A part of previously conducted research may re-publish by authors if it has been substantially altered/corrected with meticulous analysis and/or addition of new data. In such cases, authors must clearly inform the editorial office during the submission procedure. Concurrent submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal is strongly prohibited and authors must comply to this policy.
Authorship Policy
Corresponding authors are requested to include the name(s) of only those co-authors who have made substantial contributions to submitted research work. Furthermore, corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have read and approved the manuscript before submission. Persons with certain important contributions in the manuscript/research, should be acknowledged for their contribution in an "Acknowledgement" section.
Authors Contribution
It is required to include statement about contributions of the authors in the submitted manuscript. Contributions should be reflected with name initials and can range from design of project, execution of experiments, data analysis, drafting the paper or editing the final document etc.
Submission Process
Register and submit the manuscript via the online submission system on the homepage. Upload the manuscript as a single word file with all figures, tables, supplementary material, and other important information.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
If generative AI or AI-assisted technology is used while creating the manuscript, it must be mentioned and acknowledged. In this case, it must be stated at the end of manuscript that the author(s) employed [Name of Technology] to improve the language and/or visibility of the submitted manuscript and take responsibility for the accuracy, clarity, scholarly integrity and ethical standards of the publication.
Response Time
- In-house review: 3-5 Days
- External peer review: 1-2 months
- Publication Ahead of Print: Within 1 month after acceptance
- Formal publication: Within 1-2 months after acceptance
Open Access Policy
Biology Circle journals are peer reviewed and open access. All the manuscripts are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). All the published articles are immediately and permanently free for all to download, read, copy and distribute as per the applied license. To maintain ethical standards, we follow the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, Publication of Scholarly work in Medical Journals ICMJE Recommendations published by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Based on the present affiliation of the corresponding author, Article Processing Charges (APCs) will be applied as per the following:

All submissions will be treated free of cost till September 30, 2025 as promotion period.
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- Submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- The data has not been previously published, and is nor under consideration for another journal in parallel.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all pictures, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
